Noonan Quality Features In Champion Results

Noonan Race Engineering gear featured prominently in world class drag racing results over the weekend, proving that champion teams use the best quality equipment available.

The final round of the E3 Spark Plugs NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series took place as part of the NHRA Carolina Nationals at Charlotte's zMAX Dragway, where Stevie 'Fast' Jackson claimed his first world championship and his third event win of the season.

“This shows that anyone who works hard can be a champion,” Jackson said.

Jackson was part of a brigade of racers using Noonan Race Engineering innovation to produce results. Todd Tutterow finished as the championship runner up, a deserving result for the AAP team who have also deployed Noonan Race Engineering motors to much success, including a Gatornationals victory earlier in the year.

While Jackson won both the championship and the event, he was joined in the final round by Steven Whiteley, a long term Noonan Race Engineering customer.

As Whiteley turned his season around, his mother Annie was performing just as strongly and drove her Top Alcohol Funny Car to top qualifying position with a 5.44/271mph.

Also finding the winner's circle over the weekend was Sweden's Adam Flamholc at the Throwdown in T-Town, part of the Mid-West Pro Mod Series. Flamholc qualified fourth out of 22 cars with a 3.706/206mph and then rode a combination of luck, driving skill and performance when he needed it through eliminations.

Flamholc defeated Jeff Jones in round one with a 3.71, then took out a red lighting Hank Stubbs in the quarter finals. A 3.77 took care of Aaron Wells in the semis before a 4.37 was enough to get by Todd Martin in the final round.

Flamholc will next be taking the MMR Racing operation to Texas Motorplex, just outside Dallas, this week ahead of a new and exciting challenge. Flamholc will be part of an invitational round of the Mid-West Pro Mod Series, where Outlaw Pro Mods will compete over the eighth mile at an NHRA national event for the first time.

“We ran good in testing, qualifying and eliminations,” Flamholc said. “I'm really proud of the Flamholc Racing crew, and I can't wait for the NHRA event in Dallas.”
