NOONAN-POWERED RACERS TAKE HOME EAST COAST NATIONAL WINS

Noonan Ultimate Race Engineering is pleased to congratulate more of its customers on making the winners’ circle this week.

Steven Ham and Maurice Fabietti/Mark Belleri took out victories in Pro Alcohol and Pro Slammer respectively at the East Coast Thunder event at the weekend.

Both racers were powered at the Sydney Dragway event – the first round of the 2016/2017 400 Thunder season – by Noonan Ultimate Race Engineering equipment.

Mark Belleri picked up where he left off last season in the ACDelco Pro Slammer, picking up the win in Pro Slammer over local hero and long-time racer Jeff Wilson.

Maurice Fabietti is the owner of the Belleri-driven Pro Slammer, and said he was delighted with the weekend’s results.

“We spent a bit of time in the states with Jamie and Renee (Noonan) just last week and received some new components which we will be putting into the car in the near future,” said Fabietti.

“At the moment though the whole top end of the engine is their design, and it works a treat. We won the Winternationals this year with that and now have continued on to win the East Coast Thunder event – it is great to use an Aussie product that wins.

“Mark has been doing a fantastic driving job since he has taken over, it gives me more time to concentrate on tuning the car, so it is all working hand-in-hand and it is good to start the new season off with a win, with hopefully many more to come!”

Pro Alcohol saw Steven Ham and the TSP Racing Funny Car take home the Gold Trophy over Wayne Price in an all funny car final round.

“That was a good result! I thought we would end up facing Gary (Phillips) in the final to tell you the truth but we were basically just racing the track, the air conditions and so on and from there whatever happened, happened,” said Ham.

“We have just changed out to the latest (Noonan) cylinder heads, manifold and so on, and the motor is doing it easy – really easy. We are still finding the tune-up as we haven’t done many runs, it hasn’t got any ignition timing in it yet for instance, but I can tell you that there is way more in it.”
